I moved about 15 minutes from Whittier Narrows a few months ago and was looking for a new local course. Honestly, I was expecting a beat-up muni, but I was pleasantly surprised. What I found was a great practice facility, a solid Players Club membership, multiple course options (an 18-hole layout plus a 9-hole course), and overall friendly people. The greens are in pretty nice condition. Not the most challenging but fun to putt on. The fairways can be a little hit-or-miss, with quite a few gopher holes and some rough spots. Pace of play is decent most of the time. Practice mats could use an update soon, but overall it's a decent range. I've played courses all over SoCal, and overall, the price/value and experience here line up well. It's not the best course you'll ever play, but for an affordable round, a solid practice facility, and a convenient local option, for what it is, Whittier Narrows is Five stars for me in 2026.

Greens are decent. Driving range mats are hard and outdated. Fairways and tee boxes arent well maintained. Rough turf and dirt mounds. Lots of gopher holes.

The Whittier Narrows course improved a lot after the Covid pandemic, but its condition has been getting worse throughout 2025. I truly love this place and have been coming here for over 20 years, but I don’t think I’ll be returning for a while. Many areas of the fairway are now just bare dirt, making it almost impossible to play golf, and the greens are no longer maintained as well as they used to be—they’ve become quite slow.

$23 for 9 holes walking...best price in the area. Greens are true. Fairways not so much but its a fun course.

Do not subscribe to their player's club. they do not honor cancellations and constantly rebill you after you cancel. Driving range is the worst in the area with no shade and is extremely basic. Highly recommended to check out better options in the area.
