Great course for the value. Played Saturday super twilight and it felt like we had the course to ourselves. The fairway and greens looked great. Greens were smooth, challenging but fun. Layouts had hidden ponds and bunkers but wide enough to be able to play in regulation.

I played Rio Vista Golf Course recently and was pleasantly surprised. The course is in overall pretty good condition besides a couple areas which have been appropriately marked and being worked on. Greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was slow and there was a 5-some in front of us with no rangers or Marshalls to speed anyone along. There is also not a driving range to warm up with so no reason to get there early. I think we paid around $59 which I thought was a great deal. Definitely recommend this course if you are out that way.

Played here this past weekend, first time in a while, and the course looks great! They had a tournament going on later in the afternoon, but we were able to play as much of the 18 as we could before it stated. Staff was great and friendly. We stopped in the renovated restaurant/bar at the turn for a drink and had good conversations with the bartender, Jeff. Super nice guy, great energy, and can he make a delicious, freshly squeezed screwdriver! Will be back again soon!

Great experience overall. Betsy in the clubhouse was outstanding—friendly and professional. The course is in great condition and honestly plays like a private country club, even though it’s public. Highlight: shot a 70 (personal best)—everything clicked. Only issue was on hole 13, where a resident yelled onto the fairway about cart path rules. That’s something the course should manage, not residents. Better signage or clearer direction from the course would help avoid situations like that. Other than that, excellent course and I’ll definitely be back.

I loved playing here despite the course being below sea level.
