I’ve never been able to play beyond the 10th hole. But I enjoy it everyone I go here. The place is right off the highway with a drive up that goes through country farms, cows and pastures, transports you into a quiet serene valley out in the east bay hills. For the longest time I didn’t even know it existed! The fairways are picturesque, and keep very well. The greens are deceptively fast - watch out. With a bit up and down slopes, walking this course can be tiring. The clubhouse is cozy - but can get crowded if there is a wedding event - which happens all the time. The hitting range is quite basic and inconvenient.

Beautiful course, tricky holes that need tips or targets on where to aim if they want faster play, the trees take out many angles and the creek makes it very challenging. It needs yardage markers for old timers. They only ones they had were 100, 150 and 200 markers. They tried to rush us along but it was already backed up. They need a beautiful drink cart girl and cart.

The pace is a bit slow on the weekend. It’s not bad just a bit noisy from the wedding party. Many cute groundhogs.

Played a sunny weekend afternoon round, followed by a cloudy morning round a few days later after some rain. I really enjoyed the course layout and overall condition. After the rain, the sand traps were more like small ponds, but the fairways drained very well. The course is fairly challenging to walk due to the frequent elevation changes, though I still saw many early-morning players walking the course. The biggest issue on weekends is the pace of play—on several holes, there were three groups waiting at the tee box. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish before dark and had to skip the final three holes.

Callippe Preserve Golf Course absolutely lived up to the hype. Played yesterday afternoon and the course was in great shape. Fairways were clean and well-maintained, and the greens rolled true all day. You can tell they take a lot of pride in upkeep here. The layout is what really stands out. Lots of elevation change, some tight tee shots, and a few holes where you just have to trust your line. It’s challenging without feeling unfair, which is exactly what you want. The views are unreal. You’re up in the hills and pretty much every hole gives you something worth taking in. Makes it a really enjoyable walk (or ride), even when you’re not playing your best. And for the quality you get, the price is actually very reasonable. That’s probably one of the best parts. Definitely a course I’d come back to and one I’d recommend if you’re in the area.
