Thoroughly enjoyed playing golf here. Julian (and whole crew) is top notch friendly and helpful. Impressive maintenance for off season. Currently working several tee boxes but still very challenging course. And again, so well maintained. Definitely want to return to take more advantage of giant putting green sometime.

This is an amazing course. It’s not bougie but very cool vibes and grounded staff. For the size, it still has enough complexity to be a fun challenge. Personally, I loved the residential part of the course and being part of the neighborhood. Locals clearly have a lot of pride of the course too! If you’re in town, it’s 100% worth a pop in.

Yesterday, Food Now DHS, the food bank where I volunteer, held a putting tournament fundraiser at Shadow Mountain Golf Club. Besides their regular golf course, Shadow Mountain also has an 18-hole putting course. It’s full of twists, turns, ups, and downs making it both challenging and a blast! The Shadow Mountain team was amazing. They helped with planning the event and being there on the day. Big thanks to Nick, the golf pro and manager, who was there to teach everyone the rules and offer advice to players when needed. Also, huge thanks to the friendly and skilled bartenders (for those who wanted a drink). And a special shout-out to the grounds crew who helped set up the pop-up canopies and tables and generally kept an eye on things. The fee charged to our organization was very fair. We sold event and raffle tickets for suggested donations. This provided much needed funds to support the effort of helping families. Everyone at Shadow Mountain did a stellar job making people feel welcome and helping make our event a success at their historic golf club. Historic? Yes! The very first golf course in Palm Desert was at the Shadow Mountain Club. It was designed by the legendary Gene Sarazen according to the Desert Sun newspaper. In 2010, the City of Palm Desert recognized the Shadow Mountain Golf Club’s significance by designating it a Historic Landmark, celebrating its role as the city’s first golf course. Truly 5-stars in every way.

Beautiful, reasonably priced course. Popped in for a late 12 man scramble and they kept the course open past close. All the workers were exceptional! Very impressed with our day, despite the 100+ degree weather

Couple things I wanted to share. The course itself was super fun, great challenge with the narrow fairways. It was also in super great shape. Only issue was that I called ahead and mentioned that we would need three carts. They said no problem just pay the fee. Threesome with three spectators (the wives joined us). Upon arriving to check in the older woman, presumably a manager, was super rude and refused to let us play together. Keep in mind, the course was wide open, maybe three other groups out there. I explained how I called ahead, but they didn't seem to care and wouldn't let us have the cart. I even offered to pay for an extra slot. Eventually, one of the pro shop guys suggested that one of us would just play a hole behind, so at least we all got to play. The lady also mentioned how she would make the marshal check on us every hole to make sure we weren't together, unfairly strict if you ask me.
