First time here. It’s like a hidden Gem. A good place to work on your short game & a place to bring the kids who’s getting into the golfing world. I haven’t played a round yet, but I went there to get a feel of my new irons & figure out how far my ball goes. I haven’t been on a golf course since 2006. I sort of still have it! Definitely bringing my kids next time.

Visiting Oceanside 4th of July weekend and wanted something quick, 18holes all par 3’s but one par 4. some elevation with bunkers and water make it a fun and challenging course. Greens are nice and well kept. Friendly staff. Note, must be able to hit somewhat straight. Slices will get you in trouble. Also leave the driver at home. Over all would play again.

Emerald Isle is like a home away from home and it is my favorite North county SD golf course! Thank you guys, seriously, for constantly improving the course, clubhouse, and range. The vibes are ALWAYS high and the staff is ALWAYS super pleasant. Keep it up!!

Course is fun but beware you must pay when you make a reservation, and even cancelling 3 days in advance there are no refunds. You are allowed to change the date however. Never had this problem at any other course.

There is nothing not to like about this friendly 18 hole mostly par 3 course. It's the ideal practice course for everything but the driver. The variety makes it interesting with several over the water holes to make it seem longer. This is also the ideal walking course with most hole to next tee-box distances being very short. One standout is the pro-shop and kitchen. While many courses seem to have a 19th hole that is always closed early these guys seem to take pride in their offering: plenty of nice benches and chairs to hang out before and after the game. I watched the lady in front of me order an "ice cold chardonnay" along with some Mexican food as she prepared to tee off. Also thanks to the staff for squeezing in my 3-some on the day before Thanksgiving when my reservation was only for 2.
