So it’s tough to qualify this as a golf course. It’s more just an open grass lot in the middle of the hotel, but there are golf mats for tee boxes and holes in the “greens”. Realistically this place is worth it if you’re itching to smack your wedge around a bit. I gave it a 1 star bump because of this signature hole here. #8 elevated tee box overlooking the Newport bay is a beautiful view. Other than that. Hard to qualify this as golf but if your like me and NEED to play, it’s a fun quick round.

I come to this course often and the set up is perfect for getting a quick 1-1.5 hour game. It’s a perfect 9 hole par 3 for the terrain and the staff always has clubs and balls on hand for you to play with.

This is not an enjoyable Par 3 if you have to pay. The course condition even by Par 3 standards is poor and reflects laziness on the part of staff and management. It would be easy to forgive rough fairways considering how short the course is, however, the whole point of these courses is to be able to practice your short game and that includes putting on reasonable greens. This course doesn't have greens, they are weed infested, bumpy, and mostly dead. Some mats are torn to pieces, golf ball washers are broken. We got to the ninth hole and were waived off because there was a yoga class on the green. When we mentioned this to management, they shrugged their heads. If you look at photos from several years ago you can see that at one time, people cared about this place, not anymore.

It’s a shitty par 3 course. Take your expectations and lower them, then lower them again. But if you’re looking for an hour to kill and wanna just take a wedge/putter it’s really fun. They also serve beer which was a welcome surprise :D

Love this little course! Perfect for an overnight layover. I’ll play it every time I’m there. Very short par 3, perfect for short game work. I’ve played 18 the 2 overnights I’ve had. Greens aren’t in the greatest shape but it’s FREE to hotel guests. Sand wedge and a putter is all you need. Scenic as well. Perfect for walking and being outside!
