Best way to learn and practice my swing. The membership is great for the price, a medium bucket everyday. Im here almost everyday after work in the morning. The owner, manager and the people ive met are the best and have been a great help. Hopefully one day when im ready i can play the course.

Great course for the beginning golfer. Not well maintained nor beautiful, but great deal for the price. The members only price is only $8 for a round (9 holes) of golf, otherwise only $17. The course is narrow, but short, and very forgiving. Inevitably, at least one hole a round, I'll hook it to hillside, but my ball will bounce back to the middle of the fairway.... very forgiving. Most everyone is a beginner, so you don't usually have the marshall pressuring/ rushing you from hole to hole. Very friendly and relaxed course to learn the game

I'll preface by saying that this is not the prettiest course, the range is not very well maintained, and fairways are a little rough on some holes. However! The staff are some of the friendliest people I have met on any golf course! They seem genuinely happy to be working in the golf industry, and are very enthusiastic. Not to mention this place is extremely affordable. These two details are what make it such a great place to play. Some other positives to mention, it is very beginner friendly, all ages and skill levels can enjoy golf here - this does however make it a slow rate of play on some weekends and most holidays, but at least it's only 9 holes. The course itself is not very difficult, but every hole is different and requires you to find a new solution. In my opinion, that makes it an amazing course. Definitely recommend for someone who wants to have a chill and short round with friends and family.

This course is very well maintained, and the staff is kind and accommodating. After playing the majority of the courses offered in San Diego, I always find myself coming back to National City more and more. One of the things I appreciate most is that I never feel rushed when I play here. Chuck and his team do a great job of keeping the good vibes going. Another big plus is that there are always pros readily available for coaching and training on the range. I’ve worked with a couple of them, and both on-course and off-course lessons have helped my game tremendously. If you’re looking for a course that will help improve your game while still being a fun and relaxed place to play, this is definitely the spot.

National City Golf Course is my go‑to. I’ve played all over San Diego, but this place feels like home. Friendly staff, a fun challenge, all the facilities you need, and a great layout. A few touch‑ups wouldn’t hurt, but it’s still the course I keep coming back to.
