Our stay at the Silverado was nothing short of incredible. We came to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was perfect from the start. The property is incredibly well-kept and many of the rooms have undergone recent renovations, the staff is wonderful (shoutout to Jason and Charles - they were both unbelievably kind and highly professional), and the views are to die for. The hotel is nicely situated between all of the major wineries, and the property provides on-site transportation around the grounds which came in handy throughout our stay. The team really went out of their way to make my birthday weekend feel special in such thoughtful ways from the second we checked in, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my experience. I will definitely be recommending to everyone I know in the future! Stay here if you can!

The actual best place to stay in wine country hands down. It’s a laid-back luxury experience that offers so many amenities and activities for a group, family, or couples. The rooms are large, the beds super comfortable, probably the best shower I’ve ever had at a hotel. Everything from the spacious King Suite, to the friendly service, marketplace and cafe full of goodies for afternoon coffee and breakfast, wood fired pizza for dinner, pickleball courts available to guests, and a nice bar in the mansion… huge fan!! We will be taking our friends and family here for generations to come - it’s iconic like that!

Reception went above and beyond! They greeted us very politely and made sure we were set up. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and they gifted us two bottles of wine, surprised us with a delicious chocolate dessert and treated us for some drinks. We look forward to visiting again in the summer and playing some golf. Our room was beautiful. I could live there. It truly felt like an oasis away from Napa but still in the heart of Napa Valley.

Our third visit to this place was in a one-king-bed suite. The room was great (shower is a big small), and the location was perfect since we had two days of golfing. However, the heater was not working well, and we had to wait over an hour to get extra comforters after making four calls. Considering the price of the room, we expected better service quality.

Silverado Resort: Disrespectful, Dismissive, and Operationally Incompetent This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had, not because of a single mistake, but because of a pattern of neglect, poor judgment, and complete lack of accountability. My wife decided to book a stay here for my birthday. We stayed for three days two nights. Before arrival, we clearly communicated religious requirements. As Muslims, we explicitly requested no alcohol in the room and no pork products. This was acknowledged. When we checked in, the room contained wine and a charcuterie plate made up of pork products. That alone shows either the request was ignored or not taken seriously. On top of that, there were four to five cigarette butts on the back door patio present and a faint smell of smoke in the room, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and room turnover standards. We gave the resort time to make this right. We waited multiple days. Nothing meaningful was done. The situation escalated when we returned from breakfast and discovered that neither of our key cards would open the door. We attempted to call the front desk from our phones. No one answered. We left a voicemail. No one returned the call. The lobby is not close, and during active Northern California winter storms, we were left standing outside in the cold. We eventually had to flag down a housekeeper, who called security to unlock our door after a significant wait outside. This should never be the guest’s responsibility to fix. When my wife finally reached someone at the front desk, the response was dismissive and defensive. She was talked over, not listened to, and offered a generic credit with no real acknowledgment of what had occurred. The proposed “solution” was that we should come back again in the future and let a manager book the reservation personally. That is not a resolution. Asking a guest to reinvest time, money, and trust after being disrespected is not accountability. This experience showed a lack of cultural awareness, poor guest support, and an alarming inability to handle basic service recovery. When something goes wrong at a luxury resort, the response matters more than the mistake. In this case, there was no empathy, no urgency, and no ownership. If you value being heard, having your requests respected, and knowing that staff will actually respond when something goes wrong, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Napa. There are too many quality options in the area to accept this level of disregard.
