Coming from the Central Valley, it was a great experience playing on the coast. The fairways were lush and the greens were challenging. The design of this course doesn’t bring you back to the clubhouse after 9 holes like most courses. They have a cart roaming around with food onboard, but if you want something she doesn’t have, the order must go through her (that’s what I was told) so just plan for that.

Great golf course and layout. Grounds were in great condition. Some good views. Staff is professional and friendly. Great customer service.

I stayed here for a work conference. So my stay should have been taken care of for work. Unfortunately, a coworker and I had to use our personal cards for the first night because we didn't know there was an additional verification form needed. The rooms were nice and they offered complimentary s'mores. However, ther was an interesting crowd hanging about in the middle of the day, for all 3 days we stayed. Another thing to note is that there is apparently only breakfast room service? The front desk person told me I had to pick up in person. Overall the room was nice and well furnished. Beds were moderately comfortable and water pressure was great.

This is a nice decent course. They maintain it well. It's a great price when they offer specials. The staff is very friendly and professional. The Grill offers good food and drinks. My friend hit a hole-in-one last week there. We had an incredible time.

Would rate this course as a 3 star as a rating in relation to the other Pebble Beach properties more-so than as a standalone course. Since Spanish Bay is under renovation, Pebble poured in a lot of money to make this the third course in the rotation and their investment shows. The course has well maintained fairways, nice bunkering, good tee boxes and solid greens. However it is just not in the same stratosphere as Pebble or Spyglass. Course is much simpler with a down and back layout, holes are very close to each other and it lacks any real vistas. The course is quite short with unmaintained and unaesthetic wasteland/dirt areas on the side of many holes. If you are looking for a less expensive, simpler option while on your trip to Pebble, this works. It has the feel of a nice muni, not a top notch course, as there are no practice facilities there either. If you want a third high level, challenging and memorable course to play while Spanish Bay is under renovation, there are much better courses in the area (Poppy Hills, MPCC, etc). Not a bad course, just not memorable or special at all in relation to the other Pebble properties.
