The hitting "mat" is a thin layer of artificial turf on concrete. Wrists hurt after a bucket of balls, and impossible to get the same descending blow through the ball with irons. Oh, a large bucket of 100 balls costs $16.

Love this range. They just upgraded their driving turf. Make sure you have your ID or you can't get on the base.

Honestly quite not bad range (normal) Just be careful when swinging club around the edge of the pad as there are nails exposed.

Today was my first time using the driving range. The mats were firm, but I could still handle them. The price was reasonable, typical Bay Area prices. The yardage markings were very clear. The ball had good bounce, unlike typical driving range balls which tend to be shorter. It wasn't crowded early this weekend. Even when the golf course is closed, there's a free putting and chipping practice area. Worth a try! Just remember to bring mosquito repellent, though, as there are some small black mosquitoes that bite quite badly.
