Excellent value course for the casual golfer. Nice variety of holes nestled in the San Diego River valley east county. Can get hot during the summer and perfect during the cooler months.

Wonderful course. Friendly staff, well maintained tee boxes and fairways, fast tricky greens, and an almost unbeatable price point of under $50 for 18 holes. Calling for tee times is a bit of a nuisance, but other than that I recommend it! Go try it out, you won’t regret it.

(Do not come here unless you want a cheap round by yourself) Our group came here for a bachelor trip and had a very disappointing experience. We were a respectful group of young men who came to enjoy a round of golf, but it felt like the course was more interested in squeezing every possible dollar out of us than providing a welcoming experience. The biggest issue was with an employee named Jim. One of our friends has a broken back and wasn't planning to play he just wanted to ride along and be part of the day. Jim refused to allow that unless he paid for a full round and rented a bag to push around, despite not being able to play. It felt completely unreasonable and lacked any compassion or common sense. On top of that, Jim was unprofessional throughout the interaction. He was cussing, rude, and spoke to our group in a way that made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately this experience was the opposite of that. There are plenty of golf courses that treat guests with respect and understand that hospitality matters. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this course.

We came here for a bachelor party just wanting to have a good time. This place doesn't seem prestigious in any way, just a regular course with public tee times. At first the starter, Jim, seemed like a pleasant individual. Told us a couple rules then to have fun. But after our first swing we are about to start heading to our balls, he decides that is when to tell us of extra rules. Every one on course must pay the fare and have their own set of clubs. This is fine, as most golf courses require players to do this, but one of our friend who has a broken back just wanted to tag along with no intention of playing. We found this to be ridiculous because this wasn't communicated before hand and Jim seemed to be rather rude with this information. He was passive aggressive in tone and he said multiple times (i wish i could help you) but proceeded to reveal more and more rules as we continued playing to squeeze as much money out of us. Jim needs to be fired this is not the first review you will see of how poor his customer relations skills are.

I’ve been golfing for many years and have had to bring my disabled son with down syndrome numerous times. I get the reason courses do not allow riders, caddies, etc., without paying but Willowbrook has to be the worse. I asked since my son has a disability and is not physically cable of playing if he could ride along with me and they said, “no”. I asked if I could pay for him to “play” even though he wasn’t going to play and they said, “yes, but you will have to rent a golf bag and clubs, and pay for an additional cart since I was with a friend”. Pretty sad they can’t make any accommodations for people with disabilities. I was going to pay for him to golf, even pay for the extra cart, but bag and clubs, REALLY. It’s a shame that a business in a small community like lakeside would treat their local residents this way.
