CRITICAL SAFETY HAZARD: 911 Dispatched and Unresponsive Management I am posting this to warn everyone about a serious safety issue at this facility. On Wednesday, April 29th, between 6:20 PM and 6:30 PM, I was hit directly in the face by a stray golf ball while I was at the third hitting station near the entrance. The ball came out of nowhere—a severe slice from an unknown player—and struck me right on the nose. The impact was so severe that bystanders called 911, and emergency services were dispatched. Because of the smile-shaped layout (curved design) of this range, a bad slice or shank from certain angles flies directly toward people near the entrance. This is a major design flaw that puts everyone in that area at high risk of serious injury. The management’s response has been appalling. When I followed up, they didn't even ask if I was okay. Instead, the manager claimed they couldn't find anything on the video and had the audacity to ask ME where the ball came from. If I had seen where it came from, I would have confronted the person myself. While I understand that most golf courses have "Assumption of Risk" clauses, this facility uses it as an excuse to be incredibly uncooperative and dismissive of clear safety hazards. I sent a formal email requesting both reimbursement for my medical expenses and membership cancellation, but I have received no response for 4 days. Because they ignored my email, I tried to cancel my membership online, but their system had errors for two days straight. I finally managed to cancel it on the third day, but per their policy, the cancellation won't take effect for another month. It is frustrating that they are forcing me to pay for an additional month at a facility where I no longer feel safe due to a significant on-site injury. To the person who hit the ball: If you know you hit someone, please do not just walk away. Have the decency to stay and take responsibility. This facility cares more about membership fees and rigid policies than the lives and safety of its customers. If you value your safety, stay away. UPDATE (Response to the Owner's claim): 1.Selective Response Time: It is telling that the management responded to this Google review within less than 2 hours, yet they completely ignored my formal email sent on Tuesday, May 5th at 8:46 AM. If you have time to monitor and reply to reviews so quickly, you certainly had time to acknowledge an injured customer’s email. 2.Clarification on My Absence (Mentioned in my email): As I clearly stated in my email on Tuesday, I chose not to visit in person on Monday because you already admitted that it was difficult to identify not only the individual but even where the ball originated from due to the camera angles. Since you explicitly told me the footage was unclear, it would have been a further waste of time for both of us to review it while I was recovering from a facial injury. 3.Membership & Reimbursement: While I appreciate that you promptly cancelled my membership effective today, I noticed you still haven't mentioned a word about my medical expenses. I will respect that it may be against your company policy to provide reimbursement for medical costs ($140 for co-pay and X-rays), even for an injury caused by a safety hazard at your facility. Moving forward, I simply hope that your focus shifts toward improving the safety of your layout so that no other member has to experience a similar injury.

Good walkable layout. The course is pretty flat but the greens are undulating. Nice indoor/outdoor restaurant with sandwiches and burgers for after golf. Play can get a little slow when the corse is crowded.

It’s accessible without sacrificing the integrity of the course conditions. ​Verdict: An excellent choice for a focused round. It’s reliable, predictable in the best way, and consistently delivers a high-quality experience for the serious golfer.

First thing first, need to be careful with the greens here in Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course, they're not just fast, but tricky 😯. Hole 4, a dogleg right, the green itself is a hill, particularly the putting area, and the course is so evil to set the ping at the top of the green, so if you're short, ball will roll back out of the green, and if you're long, your ball will be roll over to the tee box of Hole 5, very challengingly 😊 fun !!! Hole 5 & 6 are both another challenges, big ponds in front of the greens on the right (5) and left (6, called Ted's Pond) sides of the fairways, need to make sure your aims with accuracy. Hole 12 is the first challenge in the Back 9, 530 yards Par 5, with big pond on the right side. Hole 14, a big down slope at around 160 yards, you'll gain extra distance from it.

Great course when the greens are unpredictable and you aren't hitting behind slow groups. Marshall's are around but ive never seen someone let a group pass through. Daylight savings makes it hard to finish on the weekends after 12:40, but It can be done. Hole 14 is very busy, and plays slow. Be careful of the people on 15. They wont hear a 290 yard fade if u aim middle. Awesome range and putting green. $8.00 hot dogs with chips. Pretty chill bar and service area on the turn. Order food on 7 like everyone.
