We played the Ocean course and it was just as fun as Pebble but 1/3 the price. The greens were excellent. Do note that there is no range here. I wanted to take a point off this review to that but I did play very well that day in spite of it. Perhaps the range is overrated...

If you’re searching for one of the most stunning public golf courses along the PCH, look no further than Half Moon Bay Golf Links. The course is absolutely breathtaking! Nearly every fairway offers another stunning view, and while you’ll spend plenty of time admiring the scenery, don’t let it distract you too much; the greens are tough and will definitely make you think (and maybe question a few putting decisions 😂). The staff throughout the property was incredibly friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. One quick tip: be cautious of pedestrians, especially along the back nine. The coastal trail attracts many visitors who come just to enjoy the ocean views. Honestly, I can’t blame them; the scenery is incredible! Just stay alert before hitting. Come for the golf, stay for the views. This is a course every golfer should experience at least once.

I prefer old course to ocean course. Old course got a sense of chateau. It’s more cozy and tranquil. Ocean course you see a lot of tourists or touristy golf player. If you really want to enjoy golf, go to old course. If you are going to get some “funny” photos with foggy and misty views for your instagram or friends, go to ocean course.

Played The Old Course for the first time today. I loved it. Beautiful interesting parkland course. Challenging until the greens which were pretty flat and rolling very pure. Not crazy fast just true. Amazing conditions. Friendly staff. I had a horrific round at Ocean years ago and it scarred me. Next year that will be my splurge round. Highly recommend this course.

Again had an absolutely amazing experience at Half Moon Bay Golf Links! 🌊⛳️ I can never get tired of the views. Bagpipers at night is cherry on top. If you are staying here then nothing beats it. The ocean views are simply breathtaking—every hole feels like a postcard. The course is beautifully maintained, with lush greens and a layout that’s both fun and challenging. The sound of the waves crashing nearby just adds to the whole experience and makes it incredibly relaxing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making everything smooth from check-in to finish. Whether you’re a serious golfer or just out to enjoy a scenic round, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy golf with one of the best coastal views in California. Can’t wait to come back!
