My room was very spacious and clean. The staff at the front desk. At the bistro bar. And at altitude, we’re all very professional, courteous, and helpful. Ellen at the front desk suggested a really good hiking trail and I went on it, it was absolutely beautiful. And Haley at the altitude restaurant and bar where I celebrated my friends 50th birthday was outstanding. She was very friendly professional, and made everyone feel right at home! I had a great stay and I look forward to coming back soon. Bobby Galyan.

Golf course was great and challenging. I would definitely bring some extra balls. Cours conditions were good but there were some dry spots. Overall had a great time.

We had a wonderful weekend. Two adults and a teenager, we had a villa near the recreation center and we were all thoroughly entertained. We were able to relax, hike, swim, wonder. It was great. Every member of staff was kind and professional. We will definitely be back.

I played The Dragon Golf Course at Nakoma on Saturday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing and bizarre experience. We had a 9:30 tee time and arrived about an hour early. For a Saturday morning with good weather, we only saw one other foursome. That felt very strange and set the tone for the day. For $120 per golfer, I expected a much better overall experience and a higher level of service. The basics were missing from the start: the trash can on the range appeared to still be half full from the day before, there were no pencils on the carts, no towels on the carts, and no water available to wet the towel I brought myself. There was also no beverage cart on the course, which was frustrating given the price point. The food experience was not much better. I paid $19 for a burrito that was average at best, and there were no tables or seats available to actually sit down and eat it. The course itself also had issues. One hole was missing a flag altogether, which is hard to understand at any course, let alone one charging premium rates. The course also had noticeable drainage issues and was soggy in several areas despite there not being any major recent rain. The greens were extremely slow, and the practice green was even slower, which made it hard to get a feel for the course before the round. The facility felt severely understaffed. There were very few staff members available, and the overall atmosphere was dead — almost like a morgue. For a course charging premium rates, that is not acceptable. Overall, the experience gave the impression that management is cutting corners and pinching pennies instead of delivering the kind of product and service golfers should expect at this price point. I played Whitehawk the day before, and the difference in value, service, course conditions, and attention to detail could not have been more obvious. At $120 per golfer, the little things matter, and The Dragon missed on too many of them. Based on this experience, I would not return.

Food did not meet price point. Smash burger came out on burnt buns and was minimal. Salmon was good but the bedding was not really complimentary, the salad on the salmon was very good nice mix of greens and citrus.
