It's a beautiful place to play or even just explore. There are always Dear & Bucks lounging on the greens. Drago my Iguana and I go often. We will forever visit this Course that's Open to the public, always hikers and bikers too.....

Hit a hole in one here years ago, love the course. The kitchen is wonderful because of the amazing staff, specifically the manager named Misty. She was very helpful and made the most delicious food! Give that woman a raise! She was all alone and rather busy, but still made time for each customer and helped us all quickly. Try the fried pickles, best in town!

Bidwell is a lovely place to golf, no homes, no road noise, beautiful surroundings and a pretty nice layout. So why is it in such bad shape? The fairways lack consistent grass, they can’t seem to keep the rough at a consistent height and the greens always have some issues. The play is very slow. That is to be expected at a public course I usually don’t post scores from bidwell because I am constantly playing around poor course conditions. I don't think it is fair to hit out of weeds or dirt when you are on the fairway so I move my ball and basically invalidate my round. Good thing it is the only public course in town.

I am new to the area. I stopped by after my second hike in the area to check out their putting green and see about any other practicing areas. Two staff members were in the clubhouse. One greeted me. The other asked who is closing as I started to reply to the greeting. I said I was new to the area and asked about practice areas. I was told about a driving range at another public course. They didn’t mention their putting Green, if they had a chipping area, and did not explain the large area with yellow balls scattered around and yardage markers (looks like a practice area). They didn’t mention their women’s club when I said I wanted to play in the area. They didn’t mention anything to make me want to come back. I left feeling unwelcome.

For winter golf it's a decent track. Blue heron. Views of the park and true greens. It's a quiet and serene experience playing golf with no houses and traffic around. Annoyance from the gun club across the street but that's not an every day thing
