In Bakersfield, Rio Bravo CC is a Robert Muir Graves design from 1975. The par 72 course plays 7,001 yards, routed through hilly terrain east of the city. Elevation changes and water hazards create a demanding test, with long par 4s that challenge even skilled players. The setting at the base of the Sierra foothills adds scenic appeal. It's a championship style course that blends toughness with beauty.

This place is Beautiful form the moment you step inside. It has great views. I was here for a wedding reception and totally enjoyed it.

Driving range and chipping area are removed. No warm up area at all. Construction on 3/4 holes. Greens are half dead and full of pot holes. People are nice and layout is fun though.

The new management is spending lots of money to really spice up the fairways, tee boxes, and the food service and restaurant is top tier, it's the best Pizza and other food I've ever had in BAkersfield, ANYWHERE, I'm not joking can't say enough nice things about rio bravo in 2025 - please go and give it a chance
