Wow! Did I stumble into a gem 💎, absolutely beautiful place with comfortable seating with great views of the ocean, hills and the golf course 😀. The only issue is the very long line for the bar.

I was disappointed from the first shot to the last. No fairway/rough definition- mostly rough height. So many weeds- clover and white puffy shit, that it was hard to find your ball in what should be fairway. The greens were pretty ok, but very soft & wet (rain lately). There is some character to the course and some holes that should be really good, but hard to get past the conditions. The owner really needs to sell this place and let someone make it a real course. I was happy to get an 11am tee time with cart, for only $27. Wasn't worth it.

Came to play 18 with some friends, drove 2 1/2 hrs from Visalia and it was the best decision we made. I really enjoyed the canyons that surrounded us and then hole 10 had the view of the beach. We will definitely come back. Well I made it back today 5/17/2025, this time I had a bacon breakfast burrito from Mulligans bar and grill and it was delicious. Weather was great. Only thing I would change is the cart paths and trails are horrible, they really need to be updated very uncomfortable cart ride. But I will do it again, I'll just stay off the paths.

First the positive. Nice friendly staff. Now the not so positive. The fairways (if you call them that) are interesting to say the least. Front nine having very severe slope angles in the fairways. Hit it in the middle of the slope the ball will runoff into a ditch or you'll be lucky to find it. Back nine not as severe slopes. Long par 5's over water especially hole #10. Cart paths are horrible. Don't drive on them for the most part. Hidden bumps which will rattle your teeth and back. Huge advantage to have a local player with you the first time. Greens ok with several elevated. Honestly I have played many, many golf courses throughout the USA. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate it a 1 being generous. Simply because if you are staying at Avila Beach area and don't want to drive this would be convenient to play some golf. Photos of course is a bit misleading.

The golf course is absolute trash. The course location could be incredible, but the lack of care and attention to the fairways, greens, and overall course management leaves a lot to be desired. Probably the worst kept golf course in our area, and that’s saying something. A tree fell into the fairway on the front 9 and the crew has simply been cutting grass around it instead of removing it. That’s about the level of detail you will receive here. On a positive note, it’s an incredible concert venue. Maybe they should just stick to that.
