Place is probably the better course of the HD. Despite winter looking greens, it's usually very green. Several Par 5's, couple ball drink holes. Trees, sand. Everything is usually kept up.

The extremely slow men's group that plays everyday receives priority reservations between 7-10am everyday. Which I understand during the week but the weekends should cater to the general piblic in my opinion. They put out groups of 5-8 players (4-5 carts) with no Marshall in sight. Prepare for a 4 hour round minimum if you have 1-3 players with you and are behind the groups. I booked 2 players at 9 am and we didn't leave until 12:30 and we skipped 15,16, and 17 because the wait was too long. I haven't played this course in about a year and I see why. Good course but terrible course management!

The Bistro at the golf course is under new management. It has potential to be a GREAT lunch spot for locals or a break from play on the course. Unfortunately, on the day we went, they were out of a couple of key things like iced tea and their wood fired pizza that I’d heard about. I ended up ordering “The Melt”. It was tasty but had too much sauce and a lot more bread than burger. I’m looking forward to going back in to try some other dishes as the rest of my group seemed to enjoy their selections!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had on a golf course! Pace of play was absolutely horrible. There were multiple 5somes let out on a weekend. Overall, great course though!

I’ve been there to Apple Valley golf course a handful of times. Michael the person at the front desk with red hair is the rudest unprofessional person I have met in customer service. Every time was unpleasant if he hates his job or working with the public, he should be in back not the face of the golf course. Me and my family asked if you did anything special for your military and he said the regular price was special enough. It was a slap in the face. Our military have died for his and our freedom.
