Our experience at Ben Geren Golf Course was truly memorable, albeit with a minor challenge. Unfortunately, during our visit, we encountered a "car path only" situation. This restriction limited our ability to explore the entire course as we would have liked. However, even with this restriction, the beauty and quality of the course shone through. The meticulously maintained fairways and greens still provided an enjoyable golfing experience. We appreciated the staff's efforts to maintain the course in such good condition. The staff remained friendly and accommodating, despite the restrictions, and their knowledge and dedication to ensuring our enjoyment of the game were evident. Overall, Ben Geren Golf Course left a positive impression on us. We hope for the opportunity to return when the "car path only" restriction is lifted and fully experience the course. Despite this limitation, we still give it a solid four stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a great golf course and I have never had any issues playing here before until recently. Apparently they changed the rules and you can no longer play in 6 man groups. Myself and 5 family members showed up to play a couple weeks ago without knowing this. We rarely ever get us all together so we were excited to play a round. We literally played 3 holes of golf and were harassed on every single hole about our group size, telling us to split up or we'd be kicked out. We completely understand the frustration of playing behind large groups & slow people so I can somewhat understand this new rule but also think it deserves leniency. We are all in our 20's and play very quickly. No one was ever once behind us waiting or catching up to our group or we would've gladly pulled over to let others pass. On hole 3 we decided to call the lady manager and discuss a solution. She seemed miserable and unhappy. She informed us the carts were GPS tracked and they were watching us all stay together and not split up. We literally wasted 15 minutes on the phone with this woman and not a single group had caught up to us the entire conversation. She informed us we could not get a refund but could get rain checks to come play separately. We spent more time on the phone with her and being harassed/held up by marshals than we did golf. I have never in my life experienced this type of controlling behavior at any other golf course. Long story short, we left and went to Deer Trails course down the road instead. They had zero problem with our group size and let us play together as a family without ever being hassled. Don't think we'll be going back to Ben Geren anytime soon. Terrible experience. 10/10 recommend Deer Trails instead.

Great public track! Not the most manicured golf course, but very enjoyable to play. Very good gold course to walk.

Just visited this April 2026. Course was in pretty good condition for still being early. The greens were thick and immaculate! Front end staff super nice and overall all the golfers we ran into that day were very chill. Also, it has 27 holes which is awesome.

Although the course is in good shape. The greens are getting even better after being verdict and sanded. They’ll be great later in the year. They desperately desperately need Some course marshals! There’s no reason not to allow a single player to not be allowed to go ahead of a foursome. Or in some cases, a foursome and a fivesome Group back to back anymore you have entitled golfers out there who see a single player look at them and don’t give a crap playing nine holes out. There can take six hours for a single player. That is ridiculous.
