For the rate you pay, especially the weekend, the greens are poor at best. Bumpy, postmarked with weeds, bare spots, sandy spots, unlevel, over half the time they havent been cut. This makes them wildly inconsistent and they do not roll true. I suggest they close the course for 4-6 weeks, sand them heavy to get them level, grow out the good grass that is left, punch out plugs of all the weeds, and what didn't fill in mark in white paint as ground under repair until it is healthy. The layout is fun and if you can get it for less than 20 bucks on the Golfnow app then its worth it. Don't have high hopes for your average score, factor in about 5-7 shots more because of the greens.

Longhills gets 4 stars from me only b/c the course design is fun, and plus I'm not a real serious golfer. The condition of the course overall is more like a 2-3 star though. Several of greens were in very poor condition with large amounts of dead areas full of sand and where there was grass it was overgrown making them incredibly slow and unpredictable. If you're used to well manicured courses then I stay away from here. But if you're like me and just out there to hit some balls and have fun with the crew then the course is worth a try. Hopefully Lindsey management will put some effort into maintenance b/c there's lots of potential for making this a great course again.

Remarkable experience. As you pull into Augusta way, you are in for an experience. The tee boxes were so strong a divot wasn't possible. The fairways and rough just rolled together in one landscape. The greens/sand traps creates a unique putting experience. Tee boxes 6 and 18c, flying over the 5th green gives an almost hunting like experience.

I'm on the chipping green next to the clubhouse at 2p Monday the 13th of April... I had just layed my stuff down and was about to start chipping when every sprinkler near every green on the course kicks on for about 10 minutes. I collect my stuff and hustle out of range- another dude got soaked. No warning from the staff and what's worse no apology from the lanky kid at the front desk. He says with a dismissive shrug, "Well, we gotta do maintenance and water" It's 74°, cloudy and it rained yesterday! They're very bumpy Bermuda not Bent greens. Don't be lazy, water before dawn. If you want good golf and service don't go to Long Hills. They won't get any more of my $.

I love any golf that I can play! I kind of grew up here, so it’s always great to come back and play. Mr. Bud Buskin is amazing and taught me about golf Great people great golf I’ll be back.
