A golf course built around a rock quarry. Front nine fairways are tight, and back nine fairways are tighter. This course is not for the beginner golfer. But intermediate and advanced golfers will find it to be a pleasurable challenge. Bring extra balls, most of the par threes are over ravines. We will be back to play this course again. We found the course to be very fun and unique.

In Tucson for business travels and have see this course numerous times off of the I-10 in Marana just outside of Tucson and have always wanted to stop and play it. So what you see from the freeway is the front nine of the course. This course is a tale of two very different nines, the front is almost resort style golf, very attackable and easy to navigate. What you see is what you get. Very good condition and shape. When you make the turn going to number 10 tee box, that's when you get a idea immediately of how unique this back nine of the course is. It goes through an old quarry mine, so extreme elevation changes, target golf shots only and required. Anything less you will be losing golf balls left and right. Gorgeous views throughout and extremely demanding and tough side of this course. The staff was friendly and accomdating. I asked the proshop staff if they could give me some course knowledge, before going out, they said the back nine was target golf, which was true, but not even enough of a statement of how aggressive the target golf was. Practice facilities were nice, bunker practice green, chipping practice green, putting practice green, and was told by next year they would be getting back there driving range with covered bays and Inrange or Trackman, which the staff was very excited for. At the end of the round I had a short chat with Gary, an outside service employee, as he cleaned my clubs, letting me know he was very proud of his course and that his son and him frequently play together on the course and enjoy it immensely. Food and beverage staff very friendly and available at the turn and post round, very clean and friendly environment! Quarry Pines G.C. will recieve a 5 star rating for all around elements, course. Facilities and staff. Way to go, I will definitely be returning to play several times again!!! So if in your travels to Tucson you see this course from the freeway, definitely stop and treat yourself!!!!

Spent the morning playing one of our favorite Courses! A great surprise were brand new golf carts, So comfortable very nice appointments with the building GPS, relief first class. Thank you, David for all the improvements on this wonderful golf course! 👍👍👍🌵⛳️😎‼️

The course is great but some holes are very challenging. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Make sure your phone is fully charged as you will want to take lots of pictures. Also bring extra golf balls.

I give the course a 4.0 and prices are good However the cart girl who works in the snack shop is super rude. First experience with her not such a big deal we accidentally went a little past the line with our carts up by the green and she just had a really bad tone and was condescending about it. Second time months later I wanted a hot dog after hole 9 at the snack shop with everything on it she said I could have a hot dog with nothing on it. Then asked my friend and nine had ever been there before. We relied yes and she proceeded to condescendingly berate us by asking if we knew how to read because there are signs on hole 8 and in the carts that say you have to order at hole 8. I was in shock and said nothing back. Then at the end when we returned our carts this kid who acted like he was superior to us was very impersonal and didn’t do his job by offering to clean our clubs which I always tip for that. He was just super entitled and really upset me. I will give a special shout out to the guy who looks like Billy Joel very personable and always offers to clean our clubs love that guy. Anyways called the manager and got someone else he said he would talk to the manager and get back to me and that never happened. I golf here regularly and refuse to come back now because of this situation there are many really good golf courses in this town and the people that work there need to realize that customer service is paramount we don’t come out there to be treated like crap.
