Layout is top notch. It’s my new favorite course. On that same note they have let the fairways go a bit. My friend played this course on a regular ten years ago. He stopped the past 6 years. I have only played it twice in the past month. It’s a tough course. I hope they bring it back to glory. From what I hear , in the past the senior pga tour played here. Layout is a 5 Fairway upkeep 2.5 Greens 5

This course has great tee boxes, fairways and the greens were perfect. Sand traps are decent. If you get off line then you have a mix of bare spots and hardpan that isn't really rocky so you won't ruin your clubs. There are a few water holes and it's a challenging layout with undulating green complexes that test your putting game. There are some really good views here too. I would definitely recommend.B+

We had an absolutely wonderful experience having our wedding ceremony at Hillcrest! The grounds were gorgeous, lush, well maintained, and the perfect backdrop for such a special day. We felt very fortunate because the ceremony gazebo area had been recently painted, giving the space a light, fresh, and inviting feel that really elevated the experience. Since this was a "destination" wedding for us, we were hoping everything would go smoothly planning from afar. It definitely did! The staff was incredible, attentive, and genuinely accommodating throughout the entire process. They made everything feel easy and stress free, and didn't make us feel any less important since our wedding was small, as the other Sun City West golf clubs we contacted did. They also have the absolute best wedding coordinator in Sun City West, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled perfectly. Thank you Tatum! Although the timing didn’t work out for us to host our reception there, we would have loved to continue celebrating in such a light and well-designed space. Hillcrest is ideal for both ceremonies and receptions, making it a fantastic all-in-one venue. We would absolutely recommend this location to anyone planning an Arizona wedding! I’d leave a 0 if I could. Some of the worst conditions, only other place I’ve seen this bad was like $30 for a tee time. $80 on a Wednesday morning and I ended up leaving after 2 holes. Zero cart path, sporadic and terrible fairways. If you’re spending 80-$100 go elsewhere

The course is not in good shape, bare spots all over the fairways. Lots of dirt exposed. I would not recommend this course right now. It is unfortunate as the course layout is great. It just needs a lot of maintenance. Oh yeah the sand traps are more like asphalt. Hard as a rock to hit out of you dont need a rake as you dont leave foot prints.
