If you enjoy waiting for 20 minutes on each tee box and having a pace of play of 6 hours, then this is the place for you. Each hole was backed up with at least 3 groups on each tee box, and there was no warning ahead of time. They wouldn’t even give you carts until 15 minutes before your tee time, and their range is actually a half mile away from the Pro Shop. At the end we even told the worker who was trying to clean our clubs that this place blows, and he replied “That’s why I work here, I love getting blown.” That line from the employee is a perfect representation of how this course is. You couldn’t pay me to go out to play this course again.

Perfect place for 9 holes~ Travis in the pro shop was very professionally and quick to help us book our tee time with short notice. Grateful for the “extra” what seemed above and beyond by all including the “Tyler’s” & Dave helping get us set up to go out and very helpful on our return back in! I played the King 18 the fairways were rough but the management know it. They are watering and airing them. I can tell that the management and staff care about the property. Shoutouts to Justin and Jake on the Outside Services team. Even one of the grounds crew guys gave me a clap when I made a birdie. The biggest issue I can see is the USGA yardage and the tee markers during daily play don’t match, often being 15-30 yards shorter than advertised.

The rebrand did not help the course apparently. 5.5 hour round, 2 groups backed up per tee box, and the fairways were about the same as hitting it in the trenches. Only grass that isn’t just knots was 3 feet from the sprinklers. Greens were great so I think that’s where all the resources went. On hole 1 we were already backed up with 2 groups and the starter encouraged us to tee off anyway. nice guy, he’s just set up for failure when they try to pack tee times 4 minute apart. Update: the helpful feedback is charge less and don’t overpack your tee times to cause a 5.5 hour round. And have a Marshall do something Cool practice green though lol

Up until 2026, this was one of my favourite courses. This year (2026), the condition of the course has gotten steadily worse. I don’t think I’ve ever played on a course in worse condition than what I experienced there last week. The $90. Green fees are pretty low for Scottsdale but way overpriced for what you get. Probably a $20. value. The new owners seem to be putting a lot of effort and investment into the par 3 course and driving range but totally neglecting the 18 hole course. It’s hard to understand the thinking behind letting it deteriorate to this degree. I hope the light bulb goes on and they get at improving the course. Until then, I’ll be avoiding this track and when anyone asks me about it, I’ll respond “don’t bother, you will be disappointed “. Oh, and the urinal in the men’s bathroom in the cart staging area, just outside the clubhouse has had plastic over it and an out of order sign on it at least from January through April. Another sign of neglectful management.
