Description
The Mineshaft is the original 18 at Scottsdale National, set on a vast, rugged swath of Sonoran Desert with no homes in play. Its wide corridors are countered by demanding angles and deep, flashed bunkers, building to the famed 'Gambler's Bluff' closing stretch. Bentgrass greens are typically firm and fast, rewarding precise approaches and short-game variety. The routing takes in sweeping views of Four Peaks and Pinnacle Peak while staying walkable by desert standards. Members warm up on one of the most extensive practice grounds in Arizona, including a massive, over-400-yard range.
