Cochise, a Nicklaus Signature design, is Desert Mountain's televised star - host of The Tradition major for more than a decade. The course is famed for its strategic risk-reward holes, including a rare double-island greens concept and dramatic drop-shot par threes. Recent restoration work recaptured the original aesthetic while modernizing infrastructure and turf. Generous visuals from elevated tees are countered by exacting angles into well-defended greens. With extensive practice grounds shared with Geronimo, it's a flagship test in the Sonoran foothills.

Nice place, parking is not good during events, as almost all parking near the clubhouse is reserved for specific tournament winners it seems. It’s a private club, so it is not the biggest concern for them most likely. The events I have been to are fun and energetic, and seem to be well planned.

This is the central location for Desert Mountain events such as the invitational and member member. Although the building and decor are slightly dated; there is a major update and remodel planned. The views are spectacular of the golf courses and property. Staff and Golf Pros are world class in there service.1
