Padre is Camelback's classic parkland counterpoint, tree lined, water laced, and strategic rather than punishing. Originally a Red Lawrence layout, it was thoroughly updated by Arthur Hills around 2000, sharpening bunkering and enhancing hole variety. Multiple lakes factor heavily, nowhere more memorably than the dramatic par 4 18th, once voted Arizona's best water hole. At just under 6,900 yards it's accessible to most players, but poor angles into the greens can bring big numbers. The club's expansive grass range and short game areas make pre round prep easy.
