Fun layout. Greens are in good shape. Everything else is severely neglected. There were irrigation leaks on many fairways. Lots of puddled water around tees and greens. The restroom on the front nine was in terrible condition. Someone is still stocking it, but it hasn’t been cleaned in months. No doorknob. All the carts had severely torn seats. My cart’s brakes were very sketchy. The rough is extremely clumpy every where from years of crabgrass growth. But on the other hand, one can still have an enjoyable round on this course if you’re willing to overlook these things. And where else can you golf for $40?

This is an easily accessible golf course on Union Hills around 35th st next to Paradise Valley Community College. There is a driving range (large bucket 100 balls $12.00), putting green, chipping area and an 18 hole course. Easy course to play, highly recommended for beginners or persons that haven't played in awhile to brush-up on their game. The Pro shop where you check in, I met Brandon, great guy, very friendly and helpful. He informed me of where everything was located, course hours, and asked for a Google review. I was satisfied with the Driving range, chipping, and putting areas. I highly recommend going here for practicing up on your game and a quick round of 9 or 18.

I really want to like this facility after several years of attending. But several reasons are preventing me from doing so. 1) Some of the staff is VERY rude. 2)They recently raised prices of range ball buckets and were very transparent about why (increased golf ball prices from their supplier) with signage around the facility. However, the last few times I’ve visited, my 75 ball bucket has had more balls without dimples than new balls. They need to throw out all the old worn out balls with no dimples but they refuse to do so for some reason. 3)They run out of buckets at the range ball dispenser on busy days. 4)You’re basically hitting off sand at the range/not much grass. Overall, they really need to put more of a financial investment in the place or sell. It has potential.

The course isn’t bad. I’ve played here a handful full of times and I’ve never had an issue. The course definitely needs some TLC, but for the price I’ll keep coming. The front counter guy has always been nice. Answers questions and keeps the line moving.
