First off, I live in Rancho and absolutely love this course. The people are great and conditions are fantastic. Now the reason for 2 stars. I have teenage kids that I’m trying to get into golf(not exactly easy). As usual, today I bribed my daughter with driving the cart, and she jumped at the opportunity to spend the day on a golf course with her dad(good times). By letting her drive the cart , she has began to love the game(getting her own set of clubs this weekend). Now here’s my issue. The Duke charged me a $15 “spectator” fee for her to tag along. $15 to watch me play is almost robbery. I get it if I brought a buddy, but we’re talking about my 4’11” daughter folks. Since when did we start charging to bring kids along? Now when I want to take my kiddos golfing with me, I’ll have to visit a course outside my own subdivision. I know The Duke won’t miss my 50 bucks a week, but I feel better complaining about it.

The course was in great condition and the green rolled very well, but the pace was depressing. Over 4 hours and only got 14 holes in before dark. One par 3 had 4 groups waiting on the tee box. Dissapointing to pay that much and have a pace of over 5 hours.

We had a wonderful experience dining at the grill for breakfast on a Friday morning. The steak was thin and the eggs were overcooked. But the service was phenomenal. we really enjoyed the views, the coffee, and the service. Their sausage links, country potatoes, and English muffin were all delectable.

Nice course, but could use some crushed rock to pretty it up. We also had a corporate Korean member go off on us on the 18th putting green because we commented on how slow they were 😑. He didn’t even let the 4 of us finished before he stared yelling and swearing at us.

Everything has always been wonderful here. The atmosphere is always comfortable and relaxing. Food has always been above par and I can tell you my wife is a huge fan of the Bunker Breeze cocktail. Great course, clubhouse, restaurant, and most of all staff. Everyone is so friendly.
