Sidewinder complements Dinosaur Mountain at Gold Canyon with a slightly gentler test that still showcases the Superstition Mountain vistas. Ken Kavanaugh designed it in 1998 with a routing that snakes through desert arroyos and natural washes. It measures just over 6,500 yards, par 71, and is more forgiving off the tee than its sister course. Strategic bunkering and multi tiered greens provide challenge without overwhelming casual players. Practice facilities are shared with Dinosaur Mountain, including a full driving range.
