Incredible day of golf. My brother and I played Dinosaur had lunch then played Sidewinder on 1-27-26. The entire staff was awesome. The bag drop staff, the pro shop staff and the starter that took us to both number ones went above and beyond and helped make our day one we'll never forget. Really positive and energetic and fun to talk with. The dinosaur course is definitely up and down in the hills in incredible shape. Sidewinder is down along the dry washes and is fun to play. Would highly reccomend playing both in a day.

Dinosaur Mountain was one of my most pleasant rounds in Arizona (name a course in AZ and I've probably played it). There are breathtaking views from nearly every tee box, many of which are elevated so you get an expansive perspective of the entire Gold Canyon area. It plays pretty tough - classic desert target golf with dense desert plantation, so keep your ball inside the corridor with your tee shots. The green complexes are exciting and provide opportunities to get the ball close with your approaches, just be wary of the good/bad spots to miss so you don't leave yourself a low percentage up-and-down! Plenty of holes have fairways sloped by the mountain that require an adjusted setup to make a good strike, especially the very getable par 5, Hole #3. Photo from Hole #5 tee box - a very downhill par 3 with the snack shack behind the green. Thank you again to Gold Canyon Resort!

Played here several times and never get tired of the views. Most beautiful course I've ever played. Every thing was great except for the sand traps that are essentially dirt. No one in the group could successfully blast out. You would think at $350 a head, they would keep the course in tip top shape. I know it will cost a ton to refill the traps, but I dont plan on returning at current rates until I know this has been remedied. I was only in two, but it cost me both times. If you want to play top notch courses in perfect shape at $50-$80 less during high season, try the two Wee-ko-pa courses in Fountain Hills. One is the top rated course in AZ. Views are pretty good also.

R.T. O'Sullivans hosted their annual Hospice of the Valley fundraiser on Sidewinder on 5/30/26. Kudos to all the Gold Canyon staff for making this another great outing. They ran a professional and flawless outing and everyone had a great time for a great cause.

The most scenic and well maintained course we planned in the Phoenix AZ area. Little pricey this time of year but … Staff exceptional
