I was recently married at this venue and overall, we had a great experience. It was a beautiful ceremony space, a spacious reception area, the food was great, and Dan and Stephanie were very helpful. Actually, Dan is probably one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met and deserves a raise and a day off! Because choosing a venue is so important, I wanted to share some of the cons of our experience. Our day of coordinator had two events that day and I only saw her one time. My wedding party said they saw her twice but had to call her numerous times for questions and she did not answer until they had asked other staff members to call her. She was supposed to tell us where to go to do private vows to not disturb the other wedding party and not only did she not do that, when my sister talked to her she said “I had no idea about private vows” (She has my time line and we talked about it). She got upset with my maid of honor when we asked her to change the pop up bar linens from black to white (every single other linen was white). She never once asked me how I was doing or if I needed anything so I’m not really sure what the “day of coordinator” was for. Two vendors we brought in were also upset with how some of the day turned out with her. It just felt like she quite literally did not want us to be there which isn’t the best feeling on one of the most important days of your life. Especially when everyone is a little stressed trying to get everything pulled together. When going through the initial booking process and asking about open bar options we were told a cash bar would be available when not doing an open bar. This was not the case. They completely closed the bar during the times our four hour open bar was not going. This was super embarrassing and we would have reconsidered our options if we knew that was going to happen. Lastly, we were told we would have a golf cart available for photos and we did not get one until about 20 mins left of sunlight which was a huge bummer considering we would have had a lot more photo opportunities. I had a great wedding but there just seems to be a gap in communication which should be addressed with the amount of money we spend to have these events.

Lucky for this place is a private course. But just a heads up the staff here are disrespectful and if your not the right shade rude. Came as a spectator only to be told I couldn't lay to rent a cart I had to be handi cap. Get out on the course and it was pretty evident handi cap was not the issue it was my definitely the darker skin complexion. Not a single person in a cart was handi cap, and I was the only family walking happened to also be the only family of color.go figure

Had a great time golfing Legends at Arrowhead on a cool 55° degree day, when it was 14° where I came from. 😁 The course was in great shape, especially the fareways. On some holes, the line between the fareway and the rough was so distinct, it looked like artificial turf was laid down. The greens were in great shape and fast. After a couple holes getting used to them, I was putting real well. The only thing I didn't care for was that the driving range is parallel to the first hole. Hitting the rough on the left side of the hole leaves your ball with alot of range balls. So, if you're not hitting a colored ball, it can take a bit to find your ball.

The Legend used to be a favorite course of mine. I am sure I have golfed it over 100 times, but that all changed yesterday. While on my way home from work I decided to stop and hit some range. When I walked into the proshop the man behind the desk gave me a look of disgust and asked me if I had golf attire. I was told he didn't like my tee-shirt. He also made a condescending comment about not being a municipal golf course like I was some low class rube. I asked the man behind the desk if his rules were subjective. He replied no so I asked why others were on the range with tee-shirts and mine was unacceptable. He looked out the back window and denied anyone had a tee-shirt on. Clearly you can see people on the range and putting just outside the proshop window. Also attached a photo of the man that picks and chooses who gets to use the facility. I'll make it easy on him and not play the Legend.

For the summer rate, not a bad price for what you get. Some areas of fade out to dirt, but all in all very good condition for one of the hottest June's on record in the Phoenix Metro. Nice proshop and food and beverage area, good practice facility with decent sized putting green. We were greeted in the parking lot and loaded up in a cart in the parking lot by players service staff, nice benefit as it was extremely hot out. Unique holes on course. Homes on the course looked to be higher end mountain homes of high value, which would make sense that when this course originally opened it was probably spectacular. Beverage cart girl, Hailey, very nice and talkative. All in all great experience, worth visiting again. Most unique thing was the birds nesting in the tunnels under the streets going from hole to hole!!!!
