The one star has nothing to do with the course or the rest of the staff. It was a super fun track especially for the price. HOWEVER, the starter, BOB, is what ruined the experience at the course. We had a 12 o clock tee time and showed up early to get some puts and chips in. And when we went to just grab our carts he told us we had to play right then and there about 30 minutes before our tee time because “that is how they do it there”. Then when we reluctantly complied all of us (we all ended up shooting in the 80s) played from the blues which is 6200 yard around what we typically play. Because there were no driving range some of our drives were in fact rough. BOB came charging up and told us to go play from the senior tees because we didn’t have a single digit handicap in our group and we were going to hold up the rest of the course. There was an 8 some behind us by the way. He told us that based on our swing on the FIRST TEE if he had to come out because we were holding the 8 some behind us up that we would be kicked off the course. (The 8 some ended up finishing over an hour behind us) He was absolutely disrespectful and until he is gone I would never recommend anyone to play Huukan again.

The course was in great shape. No, it has no driving range and yes, the pro shop was closed but the course was green from tee box to green. And the green run true

It’s disheartening to see how much this golf course has declined over the years. The lack of water has clearly taken a toll, with many trees now dying and the overall landscape losing its former beauty. I truly hope someone will take the initiative to restore and preserve this course — it once was a gem, and it deserves to be brought back to that standard.

Huukan is a decent track. Much better if the fairways were greener and had more grass, but hey its the desert... The great thing about this course is the people that work there. From the lady in the pro shop to Wendy in the cafe to the starter, they are all genuine people. Friendly and axcommodating. Looking for a decent track at a good rate Huukan provides that value.

This review is less about the course and more about one staff member by the name of Bob who started off our round on an unfriendly and unprofessional interaction. We arrived at 11:15 for a 12:00 tee time, we asked Bob if there was a range to warm up on and he promptly said no, and he then shockingly insisted we start our round immediately due to a group of 8 that was scheduled to play soon. We said we were happy to wait but he doubled down and yelled at us to go tee off that very instant while we were warming up on the putting green 30 minutes before our scheduled tee time. We go to tee off from the blues, hitting our first shots of the day into a 25 mph headwind which obviously weren’t great. After taking breakfast balls Bob approached us and demanded we play from the closest tees in order to not slow down the group of 8 behind us, when we fought back on this, he threatened to kick us off the course. It was absurd as he denied us any warmup and then followed up with rude assumptions about our game. I would avoid playing here again due to this one employee. Everyone else was nice and as it turns out we ended up finishing an hour before the group behind us.
