Today was great. The course is in so much better condition. Before the city took it over we thought we'd never go back. We were pleasantly surprised today.

Course is in terrible condition. Most fairways are 75% dirt, what grass there is gray like an old man’s beard. Greens are in poor shape. No body plays it so you can play quickly but that’s the only positive. Photo of the fairway of the last hole

This place is pathetic now that it is owned and run by the city. They have folks who know nothing running the place, no golf experience what so ever. The greens run about a six on the stimp meter, literally bad for your game. And some intelligent person decided to hack the glorious trees that gave shade and beauty. The folks in charge are inept, and my experiences there have been poor at basically every level!

Great little 9 hole course . Two different tee boxes if you want to play 18. Last hole actually has 2 different greens.

My family and I have been using the pool at Chaparral Golf Club for nearly 20 years. Every summer, my children look forward to spending time there, and it has always been a special place for our family. Unfortunately, this year the prices suddenly increased from around $60 per month per family to $400 per person for six months, or a single payment of $600 per family. For many local families, especially single-income households like ours, this is simply unaffordable. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of notice and the fact that no payment options were offered. When I called to ask if we could make payments, I was told it was full payment or no access to the pool. It is very sad to see such a drastic change after so many years. Families who have supported and enjoyed this place for decades are now being priced out completely. I hope management will reconsider and offer more reasonable pricing or payment plans so local families and children can continue enjoying the pool during the summer.
