One of my favorite courses in the middle of nowhere that I have played. The course from tee to green was absolutely beautiful. My experience started from the moment we checked into the gate by a security guard. We had a peaceful early morning drive to the pro shop. Staff were very friendly. When we arrived at the starter who was very friendly, they had water in styrofoam cups with ice for all players and a barrel of green apples to take a few with you on the course. The course was open with a nice layout and very playable for all golfers of all skill levels. You get a nice roll in the fairway and the green was not too difficult to read. Great golf experience! We were lucky not to have anyone playing behind us or in front of us so pace of play for us was perfect and relaxing.

A fantastic experience! I got to play the front 9 with a work trip, and the track is fantastic. Everything was in great shape in early November. The clubhouse and pro shop guys were super friendly and welcoming as well. I hope to return to play and stay in the years to come!

Everything about Pursell is incredible! All of the staff were friendly, kind and attentive! The golf course is something special … the conditions were immaculate! My husband and I had a great day at the course; be sure to grab an apple and a slice of watermelon along the way. We’ll definitely be back!

For anyone who golfs and watches YouTube golf, Pursell Farms should be known enough. But the videos don’t do it justice. Yes, there are the par-3’s on 5 and 17 that are famous (and the elevation is more dramatic in person), but at the end of the day the whole 18-hole experience is a fair test of golf on immaculate conditions. But the most important factor is the staff; extremely hospitable and will bend over backwards to accommodate you. If there was a way to select a sixth star, I’d ask for a seventh. Must play track….

The layout is beautiful and fun, with dramatic elevation changes, scenic farmland views, and standout par 3s (that massive drop on Hole 5 is unforgettable!). The conditioning was pristine — fairways, greens, and bunkers were all in excellent shape. It plays challenging from the tips but is still very fair and enjoyable for a wide range of handicaps. The entire experience felt first-class: friendly and knowledgeable staff, great practice facilities, and the whole Pursell Farms property has an amazing atmosphere. Perfect venue for a golf trip or event. If you’re anywhere near Birmingham or looking for a destination round in Alabama, make the trip to Farmlinks. Worth every penny. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back!
