i am cursed to have this as my home course i have to have tournaments here and the ground is like trying to hit off pavement as you see in the picture i put you can just tell is the most hilly course you can play ever i mean up and down every hole i will give them one thing tho the greens are not identical to the fairway but very close and theres pretty much no water if you ever wanna play here just be ready to play the worst golf of your life i shot a 81 at cypress then i come here and shoot a 49? dont recommend this place

The course was in fantastic shape. Greens, fairways, everything. $50 to play including carts. To me it was well worth it considering Southern Gayles and Sunset Landing are the same price for a much lower quality course. My only gripe was that the range ball machine doesn’t work well and the range balls are well past their prime. I wouldn’t go there to practice on a regular basis because of that.

Had a tee time. Group in front of us had no tee time. Averaged 10 to 12 minute wait at every hole. Snack bar was closed at 3:30. No course marshall to regulate pace. Although there rates have went up. I will be hard pressed to play here again.

The girl in the pro shop tried telling me I was wrong and our tee time I booked like 4 days in advance was at 10:50 when it was actually supposed to be at 10:20. Anyways, here’s two confirmations of my 10:20.

We're playing this out of season and it was still really fun. Lots of elevation. I'm from Florida and none of the courses I've played in this area are easy layouts. And this is no different. The Gold(senior) tees are 6000 yards. Gorgeous layout in the hills of North Alabama. Even though the tee boxes were a little beat up as long as you're on the fairway theres grass to hit off of. If you're off the fairway you may have to move your ball as there are a lot of dead areas that are dirt. In season this maybe be a different scenario. All of the greens were in great shape. These are a little slower than everything else I played in the area. Around a 9 on a stimpmeter. Still very fun and challenging to putt on as there is lots of undulation. Clubhouse is pretty basic. More of your hotdog/sandwich variety of choice. They do have beer which is a thing because this county is a dry county. There was only one person working the clubhouse and food while we there so it may be hard to get someone to answer the phone. Overall I will definitely be back. Hopefully when its in season.
