Fifth golf course on the RTJ golf trails - Capitol Hill . Legislator Course - challenging and fun. The hole surrounding the water are very peaceful. Greens are fast. Everything seemed easy after Ross Bridge. The long bridge or wooden cart path was interesting, almost like going on a baby roller coaster. At least the sounds of it. We ate at a couple RTJ restaurants. If I remember correctly, this is the only RTJ restaurant sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the sweet potato fries, giving it an extra oomph! Haven’t played Capitol Hill in many years, and when I did I always played The Judge, which is great. It’s under renovation right now so I played Senator and Legislator today. Senator was fun and required calculated tee shots with tall weeds that line the rough a lost cause if you go in. Overall it was a different and pretty good course. The Legislator was more traditional and an excellent course, with really smooth (but firm) greens. The views were spectacular and the back nine probably my favorite 9 of any RTJ course I’ve played. Unbelievably good price for quality of the course.

Of the 3 courses here, this was my first time playing the Legislator. It was just reopened after some renovations. It's like a tale of two courses The front fairways are a bit wide but the back is tight. You can't miss by much on the back or it's down a hill or a canyon. The greens were hard and fast. But all in all we enjoyed the challenge and we'll go back now that we how to play the course.

I have yet to play an RTJ golf course that wasn’t impeccable. We were disappointed that the judge was out of commission for the summer as they were doing major renovations. However, we ended up, enjoying both the legislator and the senator courses. We found the Legislator to be much more forgiving than the links style Senator course.

This place is a golfer’s dream. 3 18 holes full courses (only played 2). The two we played were completely different designs and both were fabulous. Greens were fast but not unfair. I can’t wait to go back!!!
