We just walked around outside on the sidewalk near the pond looking at the turtles, kids played on grass. Just a nice day to be out. On weekends there is a band, and although I have never attended those nights, I hear it is really fun. Maybe one of the days I can go.

*** please read if you are considering to make a trip in the next few weeks*** You can see this place was once well maintained, as the layout is well thought out, the field house gives you the impression it was once a large part of this community. Unfortunately I just had my first bad experience since I started playing golf here and I just wanted to make sure folks knew what to expect of this place as I was surprised: upon arriving I found out that hole 6 is closed (they’re using the chipping green as a replacement, which would be fine if it weren’t bumpier than most fairways I’ve been on), there is no driving range, at the turn we dropped by to get a drink from the clubhouse around 4-4:30 but they were closed. Was fine with us, but 2 gentlemen were coming up to check in expecting to be able to play, said they called but closed anyway and they said they drove an hour. Most of the greens are very rough to the point they should close them for maintenance. One green was almost entirely compacted sand. Fairways seem great, striped and all so it has a great look from the tee box, it just unfortunately falls short around greens and most tee boxes were in rough shape as well. I love other courses in the area (limestone springs for instance) and expected something within reason close to that but did not get that experience.

Course is in a beautiful mountain setting with several lakes and snack streams. Just played early April '26 for the first time. This course has the "potential" to be a fantastic course with significant rolling terrain, lakes streams and few elevated tee boxes, both done narrow and wide fairways to challenge all levels. The issues i saw today i believe others have also reported. The tree boxes are in pretty rough shape, with very little grass too hit from. I'd say most with 50% grass coverage and 50% sand. The greens while challenging enough with some undulations are pretty bumpy and hard. To me the greens appear to need more watering and some real TLC to smooth up. The course has the potential to be a really nice challenging and scenic course to play. It just needs some focus on the tee boxes and greens. Currently for the price ($30 wkday w/ cart), you can't complain. With improvements to the tee boxes and greens would easily justify a higher price. Regardless you'll enjoy the scenery while playing the course. Enjoy!

Big difference in this course from 10 years ago. Bumpy greens, overgrown areas that used to be cut, tee boxes unattended, roped off areas of greens. Really disappointed in my first visit back from playing this as my high school home course years ago.
