My son & friends had a blast on this course. He was on his weekend bachelor getaway & this was one of the things he wanted to do ! Beautiful layout with deceptive challenges !?

It was an amazing day on the course! Check in was seamless, Jack at the Clubhouse was informative and personable. Jayda, Mr King and Justin all made our day (as out of towners) extraordinary! We felt like we had been there before by the way we were treated from beginning to end. This is the 2nd RTJ Trail course we have played and would love to come back to!

Played this course end of May 2026 and it was in great condition, particularly the fairways which were dense and plush. 5HC playing by myself so I played the purples (about 7k) for a challenge. I found the fairways to be gracious in size, often finding an errant drive in a better position than expected. The greens are where the challenge comes. While most are large, they are mostly elevated and multi-tiered, giving a false sense of security on approach shots. For the price with a trail card it was definitely worth the drive from Birmingham and will plan to go back to play the 3rd nine. There isn’t much of anything else around, so if you’re playing the trail as a trip, don’t plan to stay after your round.

This was one of the most prestigious beautiful courses I have played in my life. Might come all the way back from Utah to play it again!

OK, I'm on a long golf vacation across the South, and I have time to play one course in Alabama before heading home to New Jersey. I picked the RTG Silver Lakes, and I'm glad I did. Absolutely beautiful! So after checking the scorecard I see that it is the longest and hardest rated course I've ever played. So naturally I decided to play from the tips. (Please note that I realized I didn't belong there, but the course was empty so I decided to give it a go...) 7,674 yards, course rating 77.7, slope 151. My goal was to break 100, and I shot a smooth 99. Mission accomplished! And I had a blast doing it.
