Read about the course rehab efforts couple years ago and finally got to play on May 22, 2025. Clubhouse staff was excellent and very helpful. I was expecting a course that was is good condition, I found the course is in EXCELLENT condition! The layout is awesome, with holes that challenge the best golfers. Fairways are well maintained and greens rolled true. It was a very peaceful round with lots of natural beauty and the surrounding area is great. I’ve played Torry Pines, TPC Stadium in PHX, Oaks in San Antonio, Alpine Bay is in my top ten courses I’ve played. It’s a great lay out and the rehab is awesome. Will definitely play again and as travel through the area often will make this a regular stop.

18hcp playing the white tees the layout felt manageable and fair. challenging enough to keep you honest but never punishing enough to ruin your day. The par 3s over water are the clear memorable and demanding holes just enough commitment to make them exciting without being unreasonable. Conditions were solid considering moderate rain the day before. Fairways drained remarkably well with only minor turf patches here and there. The greens were receptive, consistent and rolling true throughout even with some light repair work underway. I'd give them an 4 out of 5 At its price point Alpine Bay represents genuine value for the area and with continued improvements clearly trending in the right direction. Bottom line: If you're within driving distance of the Talladega area and want an enjoyable unpretentious round, Alpine Bay is absolutely worth your time.

Awesome course layout!!! A real hidden gem. Can't beat it for the price. Nice electric carts. Championship style course with some challenging holes. Greens were recently punched, but rolled true.

Great people and great layout, but the quality of the course was not what I expected. The driving range was good, besides that fact that when you play the first hole, and someone with a worse slice than mine hits the ball ends up on your fairway.

Do not understand why last tee time is 1:50. Staff behind the desk are very rude as well
