Just played this fine course this past weekend. Layout was good; plenty of elevation changes & slope & forced carries. Windy day made this courses real tiger. We are young seniors with 10-12 handicaps & played middle tees. Thoroughly enjoyed our golfing time here in every respect! Staff members were polite, courteous & helpful with bag drop, lunch & beverage cart all meeting & exceeding expectations.

Just returned from a 3 day golf trip with 26 guys. I had read the critical reviews and I was not very optimistic about coming here. Well I am glad we did. The course was beautiful. Yes there were 3-4 greens that clearly had severe problems. Those greens seemed to be the ones in heavily shaded areas. The greens keeper has a challenge to keep those shaded, secluded greens in top top condition. Play the course. Enjoy it. It is still worth it. Period.

First time golfing here and I completely disappointed in the condition of the greens and most of the fairways. The rest of the course was in end of season shape, but the greens were filled with large patches of dead grass, mud and hard-packed dirt. Definitely not worth the greens fees. The fairways were full of divots from all the other people that have played the course over the year and not bothered to repair them. I've played me municipal courses for half the price in better condition in the last week.

Being from the south we don’t get to see the pure beauty of this course often. Great staff that went above and beyond to make our round a truly special one

I've played this course for years, typically coming up once or twice each summer from Milwaukee. It's an amazing layout which guarantees an enjoyable round. Of course, that's IF it's taken care of properly. Unfortunately the course is in a state of complete disrepair. Tee-boxes left un-mowed and un-repaired from prior play. Sand traps that haven't seen a machine in awhile with weeds growing on the edges. And greens that you wouldn't find on a typical back woods nine hole municipal course. Over 50% of the complexes were burned out, killed off by fungus, and generally just dirt. There were a few locations where it was evident the course was trying to fix the areas with patches, but even those areas weren't growing. The frame work is still there, but a lot of work needs to be done. It'll be hard from Wild Rock to work back to it's prior status given the consensus of golfers current experiences. It would be in their best interest to make the hard decision to close down and address the greens for a faster recovery, as public opinion will only get worse as they try to stay open for play. I guess only time will tell house serious management wants to take it.
