Description

Green Acres Golf Course in New London is a casual 9-hole course known for its approachable layout and friendly staff. The fairways are broad, and the pace of play is relaxed great for newcomers or those looking to groove their swing. A couple of doglegs and water features spice things up just enough. It's a welcoming, down-to-earth place where golf is just plain fun. No frills, just fairways.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This is hands down the most poorly run golf course I have ever stepped foot on. The owners are not only unprofessional but downright disgraceful—showing absolutely no respect for their guests, their staff, or the game of golf itself. The entire establishment reeks of neglect, dishonesty, and greed. From the way they treat people to the condition of the course, it’s clear they have no moral compass and no business operating in this industry. The atmosphere is toxic, the service nonexistent, and the owners’ behavior is appalling at best. There are plenty of courses out there that value integrity, hospitality, and the actual enjoyment of the game. Do yourself a favor and avoid this embarrassment of a facility at all costs.

I’ve been here a few times and have experienced both Sarah and Diana behind the bar. Sarah is fantastic—friendly, attentive, consistent, and truly goes above and beyond. She’s the kind of bartender every place should want; an absolute rockstar. Unfortunately, my experiences with Diana have been the opposite. She comes across as rude, forgetful, inconsistent with pricing, and unprofessional. At her age, she should know better than to gossip and speak poorly about others in front of customers. It really takes away from the experience and makes us hesitant to come back. As for the golfing, the course itself is just as awful as the owners, but the poor service from Diana overshadows it. Because of that, we’d rather take our business Somewhere else!

This course is in rough shape, especially the greens. Female owner showed me how to operate the cart and said if I ride the brakes going down hills I would be charged $500. I will not go back and would never recommend this course to anyone

Never have we EVER been treated the way we were at this course. The owner talked to us like we were children. Followed us around the course. Interrupted our drives. YELLED at us multiple times for “parking to close to the tee boxes”. We left after 5 holes because of how we were treated by him. I wouldn’t recommend this course to my worst enemy. After we called him out on how he treated us he laughed in our faces and proceeded to tell us they have “the best course in Wisconsin”. With major holes in your greens and an owner who treats paying customers the way he did I wouldn’t say that. 0/10 experience.

Steer Clear: Pembine Golf Course Nightmare 1/5 stars – Total Disaster Pembine Golf Course? More like a rage-inducing wasteland that has me ready to burn my clubs and swear off golf forever. Owned by Diana – who also runs the attached bar with zero grace – this spot is a trifecta of trash: pathetic fairways, a disgraceful owner, and cheesecakes straight from the ninth circle. The “course” is a joke – weed-infested mud holes masquerading as fairways, greens bumpier than a hangover, and bunkers packed with rocks. It’s not golf; it’s torture. Diana? Pure embarrassment. She snaps at staff and customers alike, ignoring basic requests with a sneer. Worst: Those “famous” cheesecakes at the bar. A gluey, grainy sludge tasting of spoiled dairy and despair, with a soggy pretzel crust. It hit my stomach like a brick, sparking hours of regret. Diana’s “homemade” horror – skip it, or regret it forever. Avoid this black hole of bad vibes. Golfers, save yourselves. I’m done.
