This a wonderful course to play with a great clubhouse. On top of that, they host the BIGGEST Cross Country Meet The Night Fall Classic in September. Support this amazing course when ever you can.

Golfed this week on Thursday May 8. The course was in terrible shape. Greens were aerated, sanded and scalped. Fairways were in similarly poor condition. Very thin grass, cut very, very short. Making it worse, we were told at check-in that Spring rates ended April 27 and Summer rates of $50.00 now applied. Definitely not worth $50. We have golfed here many times before and been very satisfied. I'd wait until well into June or even July in hopes of improved conditions before chancing another round at Winagamie.

One of my favorite courses to play close to home. The staff is what truly sets this place apart—everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The course itself is always in great shape and well-maintained. Just an all-around enjoyable experience every time I’m out there.

Nice 27 hole course. Plenty of straight par fours. Tricky play in the rough because the grass surrounds and swallows the ball. Well maintained fairways and greens. Wish there were more water hazard holes. Pro shop staff are very friendly and happy. Deffinatley be back in the future to play again.

My complaint isn’t about the course, the clubhouse, or any other aspect of the experience, but rather about the professionalism and common decency displayed. Customers should not be treated like criminals, especially not in front of their peers. This experience was both embarrassing and disappointing, and as a result, I am leaving a one-star review. I strongly recommend that this staff member be retrained to handle situations with more respect and professionalism. Otherwise, you may have just ruined someone’s nice afternoon with your power trip. I’ve been an on-and-off golfer for years, and after not visiting Winniegamie for over a decade, my partner and I decided to give it another shot. We started our day by hitting the range, with three bottles of premium beer in the cart’s cup holders. Unfortunately, our experience took a downturn when a gentleman in a cart with a red flag approached us in front of several other golfers. He demanded to know whose cart it was, and it became clear that the issue was the beer. I immediately walked over to address the situation. The gentleman began to question me aggressively, asking if I knew the rules and stating that I couldn’t have bottles on the course and that all beer must be purchased from the clubhouse. While I understand that this might be common knowledge, I genuinely wasn’t aware of this rule. I explained that to him, but his tone remained harsh, rough, and condescending. He then asked if there were any more bottles, implying that he would search our golf bags. In an attempt to deescalate the situation, I said no, though in my mind, this felt invasive. He proceeded to pat down both of our golf bags. He confiscated two unopened bottles, leaving us with the one that had already been opened. I was confused because if those were the rules, then why didn’t he take all three bottles?
