Came from Houston for business and played a round at Timber Ridge. One of the best courses I’ve ever played. It was very well maintained. Super kind people and great Fish Fry.

Pros: The course itself is in good shape. Fast greens, extremely tight, rewards target golf over length. Some hole designs (especially the par 5s) are pretty bad, but the par 3s are fun and challenging. Cons: absolutely no course control out of the clubhouse. Lack of a starter or any attempt to consolidate groups resulted in weird pace of play issues. Somehow finished 9 in 2 two hours WITH letting 2 singles play through, and yet still were constantly playing in traffic. Overall: The lack of any attempt at course management by the pro shop ultimately ruins what should be a decent round of golf. I'd go as a single? Maybe a twosome. But foursomes should play one of the alternatives in the area.

Played Timber Ridge front 9 on Sunday, September 9 in the late afternoon. Have heard from several others that it was a great course. Also, having worked for the past 36 years on one of the Kohler courses at Blackwolf Run, I think I know something about golf courses. First, stopping in the pro shop was a great experience. Once the gentleman behind the counter knew I was a first timer at the course, he was very helpful. Second, the course conditions on a late Sunday afternoon. Sometimes after a lot of play the course may look a little unkempt, but it was still in great shape. Tee boxes were a little chewed up, but you could easily see there were still good places left on the tee boxes. A nice touch were the little collection boxes for broken tees. The fairways and rough for this time of year were in very good shape. Very green, lush, and on the fairways you could see where the divots were being worked on. The sand traps were in great shape with good and sharp edging. Finally the greens, the best for last. They were in great shape, putting true and consistently in speed. The only negative were the many ball marks, but they all looked fresh from the day. Wish golfers would take care of these better rather than leaving them for the staff to fix. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful course, wonderful staff, and overall just a joyous golfing experience. Will definitely be back! Shout out to all the hard working staff that made this experience one of my favorite golf trips yet!! 🤗

Very nice course, scenic, and in pretty good shape. Greens were alittle fast. Beautiful houses around the course. Would definitely go back. Friendly staff.
