We had a family golf outing at Fisher Mountain this weekend and it was an amazing experience! The course is beautiful and well kept. The staff was over the top. Everyone we met was super courteous and helpful! There are several golf courses within 30 minutes of our home , but all agreed Fisher Mountain was well worth the 1 hour drive. We will certainly be back!

One of the most amazing public golf courses, I have played in West Virginia. Long holes with breath taking views. Challenging greens but kept in amazing shape. If you are in Harrisonburg VA and want to golf a great course hike over mountain on the beloved Country Roads of WV and enjoy “the almost heaven” of this course.

I try to visit The Highlands whenever I am close. This trip did not disappoint as the course was in great shape given how dry it has been. Love the scenery, challenge, and tilt of these greens. It is certainly a course where knowing the slope of the greens is crucial to your approach shot. If you are in the area - it is a must play!

Traveled to Franklin to play this course, and was impressed. Really good bang for your buck, well maintained, and management are nice people. Challenging elevation changes and blind shots that will test even the best amateur golfers. Would love to come back and play again!

Played here July 2025 Tee boxes/Fairways/Greens are all in good shape, the clubhouse is great, pro shop guy was very nice (grounds guy not so nice). Only complaint would be that we were first tee time (8am) greens weren't mowed and were covered in dew so putting on that wasn't great but as they dried up they were good. Great views, course layout is good other then the island green hole is a weird.
