Description

The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge is a modern, upscale course that threads through dense forest and quiet neighborhoods on the Eastside. Designed by Gary Panks, it features dramatic elevation changes, risk-reward par 5s, and tiered greens that demand precision. It's one of the more challenging public courses in the area, with a private-club feel and excellent year-round playability. Popular among serious golfers and corporate groups alike.

It had been about 5 years since I played Redmond Ridge until recently and that will be the last time I play there. First, $140 for 18 with a cart and a small bucket. Let’s start there, the driving range had no grass and was just mud. The range balls looked like they were 10+ years old. The entire course was brown and looked like it hadn’t been watered in months. After we got to the #2 tee box there were two other groups backed up on the tee box right away. That stayed consistent all day and lead to a 5 1/2 hour round (longest of the season for me). The sand traps had rocks in them and the fairways looked like rough. The tee boxes had longer grass than the rough and the greens were cut like the fairways should’ve been. The course overall was in worse shape of any course I’ve played in years. The staff were friendly and the food was decent. That said, those were the only two good things about the Ridge. They have some beautiful views but all of the dead brown “grass” and dirt really made it hard to enjoy. That will be the last time I ever play golf there. We have too many nicer courses around the area including Druids Glen, The Home Course and Auburn Golf course. Hope this review helps other golfers save time and money by not playing there.

What was once a beautiful golf course has been destroyed by OKi golf, Oki has destroyed some of the nicest public courses, WA National, Trophy Lake, and New Castle. Were all phenomenal courses until oki came along and destroyed them. I played Redmond Ridge yesterday the 7th of June, pace of play was perfect, but $125+ for a round of golf on that course for the condition it was in was insane… The greens were slow and soft and the fairways were burnt out in places and most bunkers were full of rocks… The starter did inform us of this and offered free relief from crappy bunkers and burn out spots on the fairways.. Anyway that place has potential to be great again, but like I said oki destroys courses and charges astronomical amounts to golf on sub par courses. My advice take your time and money elsewhere!

This will probably be the last time I play Redmond Ridge. The front nine was in horrible shape, the greens were terrible and the fairways were also terrible. I took a bunch of pictures to document it. Almost all fairways right in the middle were damaged and probably should have been marked as ground under repair. The back 9 was ok. A few greens were in OK shape. I understand that courses have some issues with drainage and sometimes disease on greens but if that is the case, then don’t charge $120 to play. There were two of us so the round costed $240. I was highly disappointed in the overall course condition. I would not recommend playing this course until they can fix their issues. Hopefully they figure out what is going on with their course, because I really liked it when it was in great shape and would have no problem paying for it.

I played here today for the first time and thought the course was great. I do think that $80 is overpriced but most of the Oki courses are steep. The pace of play was excellent (4 hrs on the nose) which I was pleasantly surprised with since it was busy today. The greens were perfect as were most of the fairways (some holes like 3 were wet but that's not surprising considering the location). The course has some nice par 3s and a few very tough holes (3 is a beast). The only dumb hole is 13 because the second shot is a bit too blind. Overall I had a great experience here and I'll definitely play it again...during twilight :)

The only reason I would even give 1 star at all was because the food was good. As for the golf course, it is the worst course I’ve played in my life. Not sure where the $85 per round goes, but it definitely doesn’t go towards making the course nice. Bunkers weren’t raked (hard to when most of them don’t have rakes), holes look like they were cut by a toddler, and the shag carpet greens were almost impossible to putt on. Love the course layout, the conditions were just horrendous. Seems like it has a lot of potential, but I felt like I just got robbed for $90. If you can avoid this course and play anywhere else I would.
