Description

Holmes Harbor Golf Course on Whidbey Island is a 18-hole layout with sweeping Puget Sound views and dramatic elevation changes. Though short, it requires precise shot-making and offers postcard-worthy scenery on nearly every hole. A must-visit for island golf lovers.

For a small privately managed golf course open to the public this is Great. It's short with narrow fairways with a number of hazards so it can be challenging. And, it is fun. The green fees include a cart. I give it high marks. It's not a expensive but you get a good return on your green fees in playing fun

Had opportunity to play Holmes Harbor Thursday 10/7. Was apprehensive as I thought this was likely a mom & pop golf course with narrow fairways and small greens. I was pleasantly surprised, and will play there again. The fairways are more than wide enough, and although the course has 9 par 3's, it is fun and challenging. The greens are all more than sufficiently sized, and the condition of the course great. When I got there Thursday morning, it was after a large thunderstorm dumped on the course Wednesday night. Needless to say, the first five or six holes were wet, as were the greens. By the time we reached the ninth hole the fairways and greens were dry and the course easier to play. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to have a fun, but challenging, round of golf. The price is right, and it's a great place to sharpen up your iron skills.

Golfed 18 holes. Course needs work, bunkers in poor shape. Lots of mosquitoes so bring bug spray. Pros: price, decent golf carts, and available tee times/not busy.

Been living on the course for 20+ years and have seen it in all of its conditions. I can proudly say it’s the best it’s ever been. Majority of the bunkers are clean and weeds are pulled. Greens roll true and are in good shape, you’ll find a couple divots but that’s only cause people don’t fix them and don’t know golf etiquette. Don’t need a tee time and can wear whatever you like which is the best part! Just show up before 5 or if not you give Paul a call and he’ll take care of you. I personally think $65+ for a round here is absolute insanity but i understand it being that it’s only the weekend rate and it’s the only course on the south end. Plus majority of the business comes during the summer. Hole 1 and 8 have some the best views ive seen! I have and will continue to recommend this course to everyone I know and hopefully Paul keeps it looking great!!!

I started playing this course when I moved nearby 2 years ago. I play all year round, rain or shine. It was in rough shape during COVID, but Paul and his staff have really brought it back to life, including refreshing the bunkers. Reasonably priced, well cared for and a really fun course. Great views and wildlife (deer, eagles, hawks and songbirds).
