This Golf Course offers a challenging layout with narrow fairways, hills, and blind shots that test your skills. The natural scenery, with views of the surrounding forests and a creek running through the course, adds to its appeal. While some areas could use more maintenance, Pam welcomes us warmly and ensures everything runs smoothly. The clubhouse provides a cozy spot to relax after your round. For those seeking a scenic yet demanding course, Dakota Creek is worth a visit.

Because of our very dry summer, the fairways are likewise dry and hard, but the course isn’t really about the current conditions. From the fairway on holes 12 and 14 you can see all the way down to the water, across to the San Juan Islands, see the plumes of steam from the refineries, and feel the ancient bones of the mountain you stand on. Having the privilege to be on that summit, let alone golf there, was a true blessing and an unexpectedly spiritual experience. It can only be described as a sacred place. The course layout is challenging and fun, with some mind boggling hole designs that will test even the most confident and seasoned pros. Sprinkled throughout are several opportunities to score, so long as good decisions are made about club selection. Driver is definitely not the play on every par 4. Don’t let the short yardage fool you. Despite the lack of a single bunker on the entire course, plenty of water hazards, ravines, sloping undulated fairways, and postage stamp greens will have you wishing there was some sand to catch your ball before it rolls 20 yards down the hill. The first hole, a par 5, certainly sets the tone and gives a glimpse of what to expect throughout the rest of the round. Elevated greens and tee boxes make for beautiful vistas and lots of chances to practice club selection to account for elevation change. The final hole, a near 90 degree dogleg right, helps bring you back to reality down from the mountain paradise. It features a water hazard that cuts across the fairway in front of the green, making course management and club selection vitally important. For some reason I had the course to myself, despite the very reasonable price and perfect golfing weather. Yes, there are other courses with immaculate fairways and perfect greens, fancy clubhouses and restaurants, cart girls and members clubs. But they probably won’t treat you like family the way the people at Dakota Creek treated me today. You can feel their love of the land and their care for the course. Their hard work to keep up with other courses around is inspiring. Please, PLEASE, go golf Dakota Creek, but treat it with the respect it deserves. Thank you Dakota Creek, for an unforgettable experience.

This course was overpriced for what you get. There are holes that are extremely hard to play. We're avid golfers and ended up teeing off on 2 holes that were completely the wrong holes. The golfers behind us did the same. As no clear signage. Save your money & go to Lake Padden for the same price. Much better course.

Awesome course, first time I ever went golfing and had a blast. She needs to raise the prices, definitely use a cart and bring extra balls I lost a few.

DO NOT WALK THIS COURSE. Hilly is an inappropriate description. It is like golfing on Mt. Everest. The greens are in decent shape and the course is a lot of fun. Definitely come here and golf but for the love of god do not walk the course. They should warn you. When you look at it from the parking lot it doesn't seem that bad but when you get to the top you can see the ocean. That's how high it goes! Will definitely be back and will definitely need a cart. See you soon
