Outstanding layout, beautiful scenery and challenging shots on every hole. I played the Silver tee boxes and was very impressed with the efforts needed to score. Fairways are cut perfectly, greens (even though told they had been punched) rolled smooth and true. I would play here again without hesitation. The greens fees were more than fair for a mid week tee time ($79). I live in Florida and play on similar courses in yardage but never experience the sheer beauty as Potomac Shores. Try this course out and absorb the beauty and challenge, you’ll not be disappointed.

Potomac Shores is one of the best public golf courses in all of Northern Virginia. This Jack Nicklaus design is stunning and in immaculate condition and is the only public course designed by the golden bear in Virginia. The course itself is incredibly challenging and features dramatic elevation changes, severely undulating greens, and very few even lies making for a real test for all skill levels. The staff were friendly and treated me amazingly during my round.

I booked a birthday round of golf on a Tuesday morning, and everything was going great until the tournament ahead of me was unbearably slow. Close to 6 hours for 18 holes is completely unacceptable. The worst part is management did not address the pace of play issue as they were nonexistent. I could not have been more dissatisfied with my first, and likely last, time visiting this course.

Potomac Shores Golf Club is an absolute gem! My recent round there was nothing short of amazing. The course is beautifully designed, offering stunning views at every turn. The fairways are immaculate, and the greens are pristine, making for a top-notch golfing experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyment of the day. Great time during a special event of a Cuban Food Night buffet. Food was very good and tasty. Just couple of things were a little too salty, but nothing too bad. However, service by all staff was outstanding. Even when we asked for some espresso drinks, the bartender came to our table to ensure our order was perfect. Drinks were good and strong. I had a very good Old Fashioned. View from place is also nice. But again, best part was service staff. If I recall correctly our server name was Paige. She was excellent
