Excellent course and staff, we loved our first experience at Newport Country Club. Fairly priced, good food and drinks afterwards. Challenging layout even more playing from the Blues, there were very wet conditions due to historic rainfalls but the course management had the course playing well for conditions. We hope to be back in the future!

Spectacular view of the lake and hills! Fantastic french fries, great clam chowder...and it is open for lunch when many other nearby restaurants are closed. (Open to the public, golfing not required)

The biggest takeaways are that it's a fun/fair course, it's in excellent shape, AND has great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The greens roll true, and are pretty straightforward. All that changes when the wind whips up though. You'll want to brush up on your profanity. And I played in mid May, 2021, so they probably haven't seen too many rounds yet. But still. It's also very easy to walk as there aren't that many hills to hike. As for playing it, you can get away with a fade on most tee shots, but not all of them. The only hole that involves any trickeration of any sort would be 13, dogleg left to a green that's way, way below you. (2 clubs up works for me.) That green is also probably the best view of the bay. Then remember to look around coming down 18 fairway.
