This hotel is absolutely beautiful from the moment you walk in ,you truly embrace the Gilded Age from yester years. From the Decor to the staff , everyone makes you feel very special and welcomed. When walking around , Each area / room is inviting & speaks for itself. So happy we had the pleasure to meet a lot of the staff and I must say the gentlemen ,John and Matt are incredibly hands-on and want to make sure that you are comfortable in getting everything you need while you’re visiting. They both went beyond our expectations. We believe that they are indeed a true asset to the Hotel. Simply Outstanding !!! The staff is friendly & warm For example; Lovely Maria is from the spa & is very informative , she is also focused to give you a great experience in the hotel . We love the Equinox & gradually are seeing all the changes🙏 We are sincerely looking forward to seeing you keep this wonderful & detailed history hotel in the pristine way in which it is meant to be ! We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay at The Equinox and cannot wait to return. The property was BEAUTIFULLY decorated, creating such a warm and memorable atmosphere, and the staff were truly exceptional - especially Maxine (dining), the bartenders (can't remember their name) and Taria at the front desk, who was absolutely amazing. The rooms were a great size, and we loved the multiple dining areas, the cozy fireplaces throughout the property, and the game and puzzle relaxation room, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding, the drinks were just as impressive, and every detail exceeded our expectations. Although we didn’t get a chance to visit the spa this time, it’s at the top of our list for our next stay. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last...we’ve already told many friends and family that this stop is a must. This place truly doesn’t receive enough credit for how incredible the experience is, and we can’t wait to come back.

In October 2025, I spent a $300+ night at what is now the unkempt Equinox Golf Resort and Spa Hotel. The property has seen better days and can be great if the ownership spends the money to refurbish the rooms, spa and public spaces -- and improves the staffing. The elevator to our floor was so shabby I thought we had entered the service elevator. Our room had no bath towels. The toilet ran so much we had to open the top and jiggle the float after every use. The radiator had no cover (hence saw all the dust and rust on the coils). The tub had black mold. The rug had stains. The windows had only blackout shades. No way to have both privacy and light. In the public spaces, the trash was overflowing. The free coffee and tea was out of stock. The ladies locker room at the spa had overflowing piles of wet towels, a soggy floor and leaky showers. It was gross. I reported all of these concerns to the front desk staffs at the hotel and the spa. All blamed it on housekeeping, the staffing for which is likely impeded by the difficulty of finding people to do such thankless physical jobs under poor conditions and due to threats from ICE. None of the staff we dealt with at the hotel or spa seemed willing to do anything other than their desk job. An example: I asked for a towel at the spa. The manager handed me one from a cart of unfolded towels. (I assume they were clean because the towel was at least dry.) Perhaps only the cleaning person can fold the towels? I shared all the same feedback via the post-stay survey. Never heard anything from management. No apologies. No discount for my stay. I so wished I had instead booked at the beautiful Kimpton Taconic Inn down the road.

Hotel was great from start to finish, and the on-site restaurants were truly outstanding, with excellent food and attentive service that made every meal a highlight of the stay. One person who really made the trip unforgettable was the ski shuttle driver, Chris, who might be the nicest, most helpful, and most knowledgeable person in all of Manchester, going above and beyond to make sure guests were taken care of and got where they needed to go with ease. Overall, the combination of a fantastic hotel, top-notch dining, and exceptional service from staff like Chris made this a stay that is easy to recommend and one that deserves repeat visits.

Spent the weekend at the resort. Great location, staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. I ate dinner at the Falcon Room. Paige and Jaeden served me. They were both extremely informative and provided next level hospitality. Rob T.
